Teconnex Ltd - Company Background

Connectors Limited (incorporated in 1978) was purchased in 1987. Smith & Johnson (incorporated in 1954) was a competitor of Connectors and was purchased in March 1997.

Teconnex' engineers have unrivalled ability and experience in the design and manufacture of clamps, to meet the requirements of a wide range of applications and industries. These include diesel engines for commercial vehicles, chemical, pharmaceutical, water treatment, industrial, aerospace and nuclear research markets. Around 50% of products are exported, principally to EU countries via a distributor network, and to the USA.

The company occupies modern premises in Keighley with over 34,000 sq ft of manufacturing area. It has approval to BS EN ISO 9001 and TS157. Clamp sizes range from 50 mm to 2,000 mm in diameter. They can be pressure and fatigue tested to 300 bar on the company's purpose designed, microprocessor controlled test facility. The advanced manufacturing facility includes robotic welding, CNC turning and special purpose section rolling machines.
